Ocean County residents are now getting person to person interaction with Horizon BCBSNJ staff, help finding a local network physician, gainingaccess to locally-based senior services, checking out health and wellness seminars and much more – all in one convenient place – the mobile Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey “Blue to You” van.

The van began traveling throughout Ocean County this spring to libraries, festivals, fairs, sporting events and other local hotspots. The new, multi-purpose vehicle is equipped with touchscreen TVs, iPads and other technology linked directly to company, health and community information.  The wheelchair accessible vehicle is also staffed by specially trained advisors to bring the company directly into New Jersey’s communities

“As a New Jersey company established nearly 80 years ago, Horizon is closely connected to the communities we serve,” said Joseph Albano, Vice President of Consumer and Senior Markets at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.

“This van will strengthen this connection and more holistically meet people’s needs by going to them…right in their home town,” he said.

The van will be travling to the Lakewood BlueClaws First Energy Stadium in Lakewood on June 26 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
