Alleged Hudson City Savings Bank Robber Turns Himself In

Blake Wood, 23, was sent to Ocean County Jail with bail set at $100,000

 

The Forked River man who allegedly robbed the Hudson City Savings Bank on Monday has turned himself in to police.

Police arrested Blake Wood, 23, at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in connection with the robbery of the bank located in the Lakeside Plaza on South Main Street, Lacey police said.

Wood allegedly entered the Lacey bank at 3 p.m. Monday and demanded cash from the teller, police Chief William Nally previously said. No weapon was displayed.

Police conducted an extensive search for Wood since Monday, issuing an arrest warrant on Wednesday.

Wood turned himself in at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lacey Township Police Department.

He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $100,000.

Wood was previously charged in June with shoplifting after he allegedly stole three computers totaling $1,293 from a Lacey store.
