BARNEGAT POLICE REPORT: Three Arrested in Burglaries

Two Waretown, one Forked River resident charged.

Three area residents have been arrested and charged with burglaries connected with two seasonal residences located on Bayshore Drive in Barnegat and one seasonal residence in neighboring Waretown.

Arrested and charged between October 11th and October 15th were Anthony Brito 3rd, 19, of Forked River, Tyler Lecoque, 18, of Waretown, and Richard Tieto Jr., 20, of Waretown, according to Barnegat police.

The Barnegat burglaries occurred at two seasonal Bayshore Drive residences on September 15th and September 18th.

More than $11,000 in electronics and jewelry was stolen from one residence. The suspects did not get away with any property from the second residence as an audible security system resulted in them fleeing the home.

All three subjects were charged with two counts of burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

Brito and Lecoque were lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of $20,000 bail.
Tieto Jr was processed and released after posting bail.

The arrests were the result of a three-week joint investigation with Ocean Township police. Barnegat Police Detective Maryann Cirulli made the arrests.

The Ocean Township Police also signed complaints against all three subjects for the burglary that occurred in Waretown.

Paul- you and your ignorant comment. One-they were not even from Barnegat. Two unless you live in Bernardsville or surrounding areas you being in south Jersey certainly does not make you some type of upper class. You probably live in ocean Acres which is the Settler's of Manahawkin! Funny last couple reports were about Manahawkin residents stealing in the area. 609 area code no different.

You seem to have a lot of time on your hands Deb to be able spend it on here all day and fb! Ha. Maybe if you got a job you could afford to move up north in a nice area instead of saying things about the towns around you that are exactly the same as yours! As I pull up statistics Barnegat school systems are rated much higher than manahawkin they also hold higher grading systems which means they hold their students to a higher level. Can not argue with the facts!

Greg- I am not sure of your confusion. Maybe need to re-read. I am glad they were caught. Should definitely be punished that for sure. I for one am proud of the Barnegat police for catching them. The problem is the accusations made in towns. The kids were not even from Barnegat. The comments are made about a town that has nothing to do with it. Sorry to disappoint you for misreading before speaking to me.

Let me inform all of you, every town has problems. Waretown has some very rich and intelligent ppl here(Greenbriar) they are CEO'S from very successful companies. I personally, lived up north. It was beautiful but became to expensive. Stop criticizing. Ppl have issues and drug problems everywhere, not just in s jersey.

G you sound rather ignorant talking about the elderly. I cannot wait until you reach that age and see how well you are. just because they are old does not mean they are stupid. As I reread your comment when you hit that age it does not seem like you'll have any brain left. You brought up driving a car twice yes they may go slow and make mistakes but statistically more accidents are caused my young drivers speeding and killing others so that statement there in no way supports elderly lacking intelligence. I have said my piece I rarely go on this site because of ignorant people like yourself. If you feel the need to respond go right ahead but I have no intentions of continuing this. You are a pure idiot.

Around 7:30 p.m. on October 18th, members of the Barnegat Police Narcotics Unit arrested and charged Christopher Fix, of Manahawkin, and Wendy Schoeneberg, of Waretown, on drug charges after observing a hand-to-hand transaction that took place in the parking lot of the Wawa located at 945 West Bay Avenue, police said.

The arresting officers were in the area on an unrelated matter when they observed the transaction take place, according to Barnegat Police Lt. Keith Germain. The subsequent investigation resulted in the recovery of 42 decks of heroin (pictured), some of which Schoeneberg allegedly had just sold to Fix and others Schoeneberg allegedly had retained in her possession.

Again.... Manahawkin, Waretown, Barnegat. All the same. Can not blame an entire town because there are people in it that make bad decisions. There are plenty of bad and great people in all of them.
