BARNEGAT POLICE REPORT: Two People Arrested Under Cops in Shops

Cops in Shops detail is funded by a grant and involves placing undercover officers in establishments that sell alcohol

 

Two people were arrested under the Cops in Shops detail in Barnegat Township on Aug. 25 at 9:16 p.m.

Anthony Flores, 22, and Leah Stadtmauer, 19, both of Barnegat, were arrested and charged after police said they observed Flores purchase alcohol that Stadtmauer had selected.

Flores was charged with purchasing alcoholic beverages for an underage person. Stadtmauer was charged with having another person purchase alcoholic beverages for an underage person.

Both Flores and Stadtmauer were processed and released pending a court date. Detective Michael Mitchell and Detective Maryann Cirulli made the arrests.

The Cops in Shops detail is funded by a grant and involves placing undercover officers in establishments that sell alcohol with the purpose of stopping the illegal purchase of alcohol to minors.

What kid hasn't done that. Including more then likely the arresting officer. I know one of the kids and she works and goes to college. I'd focus my time and energy on the druggies if I was the police who btw I think do a outstanding job.
