Big Lots, a nationwide closeout retailer, have scheduled the grand opening of their new Barnegat location for this morning, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m.
Big Lots will be located in the old A&P supermarket on Route 9 just north of Barnegat Boulevard.
Big Lots carries brand-name closeout brands and other items including consumable items, seasonal products, furniture, housewares, toys and gifts.
According to officials with Big Lots, the ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature the presentation of a $2,500 check to the Barnegat High School.
Big Lots has brought 45 new jobs to the community.

What was the delay all about?
The $2500-- for Barnegat school
sounds fishy ...
best with your new store ...
will be by to see what you have
to offer ... glad the A&P place
went to a good use ...
spent years going to Planning
and Zoning boards ... the only
group I had ever witness getting
9 waivers and 12- easements
was the Walters Group of companies ...
almost felt they "commanded" the
applications ... of course that was
Stafford where their appearances were
virtually a LOVE FEST ..

Many of the jobs created in Stafford
are not for Stafford residents ...
that reasoning is how Walters Group
received such lush tax abatements
for up to 35 years ... when was the
last time YOU received a tax abatement
in any Ocean County township ...
Not being a party pooper, the new
outlet is fantastic and is an excellent
use of a site that otherwise go down
like the many overbuilt locations
throughout Southern New Jersey
were the GOP abounds ...
** been conservative Republican
since 1969 ... not a bit like the
Ocean County Rino's "Republican
In Name Only"
Will be by very soon the check out
your inventory ...
Best with your future in Barnegat!!

The jobs were created in Barnegat. If Barnegat residents didn't apply for them that isn't Big Lots fault.

So, therefore you shouldn't even apply for a job there?
Maybe it isn't a career plan, but it would be a good job for high school or college age people or people looking to pick up a few extra bucks.

BTW, If you filled out a job application the way you wrote that run-on sentence you mostly would not get the job.
