Coast Guard Tows Disabled Vessel to Lighthouse Marina

A 26-foot sailing vessel was disabled and adrift

The Coast Guard towed a disabled sailing vessel earlier today to Lighthouse Marina near Barnegat Inlet.

The 26-foot sailing vessel, South Cross, was disabled and adrift near the Barnegat Inlet Jetty with two people aboard and no anchor line, officials with the Coast Guard said in a press release.

A Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light crew aboard a 47-foot motor lifeboat arrived on scene and took the vessel in tow, according to the release.

"It was a great feeling to see our constant training come into effect with a successful outcome," said Petty Officer 3rd Class Stanley Zubrzycki, a Station Barnegat Light crewmember. "We always go out expecting the worst, and we do our best to turn it into a good situation."

Doctor Andy,
Your comments are spot on! My comments were deleted last night when I pointed out an obvious contradiction in one of Colleen's articles. When I responded to my original comment being deleted, my response was also deleted. I hope this one makes it past the censors.

Whiskeytango,
Again, I cite our terms of service. And I addressed the contradiction, so it has been corrected. Again, all, thanks for reading and your contributions. - Colleen
