Runyan Hosting Veterans Expo July 16
Expo to have numerous veterans organizations and resources available
Each year Congressman Jon Runyan has introduced a bill to ensure veterans receive an annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) and last year veterans with service connected disabilities received their first COLA in a number of years.
As a proponet of veterans services, the Congressman will be hosting Veterans Expos in both Burlington and Ocean Counties. These events will give vets the opportunity to speak with representatives from different veteran service organizations. These organizations will be on-hand to provide information and answer questions about available veterans benefits and resources.
The Ocean County expo takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 16 at Toms River American Legion Post 129 (2025 Church Road.) Some of the organizations invited to attend are Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office, New Jersey Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development- Veterans Workforce Placement, Ocean County Department of Veterans Affairs, 9th District Legislative Office and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
For questions regarding the expo, you may contact the Congressman's office in Ocean County at 732-279-6013.
