Chiari malformation is a serious neurological disorder affecting 300,000 people in the United States.

The Conquer Chiari Walk Across America is a series of local awareness and fundraising walks held across the country on the same day.

A walk is scheduled on Sept. 22, at Barnegat Lighthouse. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. All proceeds will be used to fund Chiari research.
