Smrkovsky was issued a summons and released pending court. Also, while on scene, Officer Samaritano arrested Christopher Smrkovsky, brother of Richard Smrkovsky for a warrant out of Lacey. Richard Smrkovsky was released into the custody of Lacey Twp. Police.

I'm confused. Was it his car? Or was it a rental?

I'm confused too. What business is it of Enterprise to check the status of a vehicle you arrive at their office in? Why would they do that? Even if he took the CDW and they were just checking to see if he was indeed insured, seems like the clerk thought he was Sherlock Holmes here. The insurance company, who would be the injured party here didn't call the cops, the car rental jockey did.

I'm surprised this isn't considered breaking news on the patch.
