Police Ask for Help in Identifying Burglary Suspect

Store cameras capture image of woman believed to have used stolen debit card

Barnegat police are asking residents and readers to help them identify a woman they suspect was involved in a burglary of and theft from a motor vehicle in the township between Jan. 27 and Jan. 29.

A Bank of America debit card stolen during the burglary was used at a Walgreens on Route 37 in Toms River and again at a 7-11 store in Lakehurst on Jan. 29. The photos included in this story are believed to show the woman who used the stolen card.

The suspect is described as a white female, 5 feet, 6 inches tall in her late 20s with dark hair.

Anyone with information regarding the burglary or who believes they know the identity of the woman in the photographs is asked to contact Barnegat Detective Maryann Cirulli at 609-698-5000 x215.

You would think they would realize cameras all over the place, but guess they have more moxy than brains.

Hmmm, I would say she had "Brown" hair, not "dark hair".
There are many shades of 'dark' hair, but that isn't one of them...

I agree with you 100%, but whenever I comment on that, most people argue that they should be able to leave their cars open and leave whatever they want in them. They say no one has the right to go into their cars. I say, why make it easy for them? These crooks don't want to break in and make noise breaking car windows, they just want an unlocked door to make it all so easy for them.
If this one continues to wear that jacket, she will be caught in no time.

You're completely right. I stopped feeling badly for the people getting robbed because they left their car/house unlocked. ESPECIALLY when they leave their valuables in plain sight. Why give someone a reason to break in to your car? Perhaps 20 years ago, you could go out and leave your house unlocked, or park your car in your driveway and not lock it, but not today. I think the cops should stop wasting time and money investigating these robberies where people are leaving everything unlocked and just hand out "lock your car" pamphlets instead.
