Police From Several Area Departments Collaborate, Charge Man with Burglary
Egg Harbor man was charged with breaking into parked cars.
A 28-year-old Egg Harbor man has been arrested and charged with burglary in Harvey Cedars, police said.
On Oct. 20, 2012, around 2:20 PM, Harvey Cedars police responded to Sunset Park for a report of a male breaking into parked cars. Once on scene, police said they were met by an off-duty Stafford Township patrolman who had witnessed one of the break-ins.
Officers searched the area and found the suspect, Brendan K. Meter, on the beach at Hudson Avenue.
He was arrested by Officer Christopher Oldham and was assisted by Officer Sean Ferguson of Long Beach Township police. Meter was charged with burglary and has a court date in November.
