Dolce Bagel Readers' Choice for Best in Barnegat
Bay Avenue shop wins weekly poll
Dolce Bagel and Pizza Cafe was readers' clear choice this week as best bagel shop in Barnegat.
The Bay Avenue business captured 94 of 193 votes (48 percent) cast to take the top spot. Bay Shore Bagels was second with 57 votes, and Bagels & Beyond took third with 26 votes.

You totally left a very important one out. JT's Bagel Hut in Lacey. Hands down the BEST bagels around. Best Bagels, best breakfast sandwiches, best coffeel etc... Try getting in there Saturday morning. The line is out the door and that's in the off season!

Agreed, JT's in Lacey is the best around…although Dolce in Barnegat has been a pleasant surprise. Best salt bagel (I think they use sea salt). Plus there is plenty of seating.

I voted for Dolce. Not as good as this one place in Jackson, but still pretty good. I just wish they were a bit bigger.

Not sure if bagels are cooked on premises.. ok at best.. bayshore bagels is better.

dolce bagel? more like day-old bagel... they treat thier pasteries like entamens and leave them there for weeks. bunch of old people on here voting. 197 votes is nothing. bayshore has more customers then that in the first hour on a saturday. id rather have elios frozen pizza then there crappy sauce and cheese pies

the bagels are cooked on the premises, and there is obviously a reason that those other bagel places are not included. I dont see Patch editors popping a squat for hours in any other places around here but Dolce. probably because of the lack of hospitality and oh, seating? Dolce is fantastic and has the best breakfast and lunch around. they are clean and friendly-remember customers names and personal preferences. you wont find anything like that for miles.
