Stafford Twp Police have reported that an armed robbery has occurred in the area of Beach Haven West Blvd in Stafford Twp.
Suspect was asking for directions on how to get to Route 9 when he reportedly assaulted the individual, a member of EMS, taking the victims wallet, rescue knife and First Aid Portable Radio. Suspect did display a silver handgun.
Suspect vehicle: A small 2 door, 2 wheel drive, grey/primer like matte color foreign model pickup truck. Possibly has a loud exhaust, almost like it has an exhaust leak.
Suspect information: Suspect is described as While Male 50 to 60 years of age, 5 foot 8 inches in height to 5 foot 10 inches in height with a grey mustache, a black carhartt jacket, brown boots, blue jeans with a rip in the knee.
Last seen heading north on Beach Haven West Blvd
Incident occurred at approximately 0020 Hrs (12:20AM)

The poor guy was just getting off his volunteer shift. Caught off guard and surprised in the dark. So sorry he didn't get a tag for you. Oh and it said he was assaulted. I'm sure he was in the perfect mind set to get a tag. Better luck next time I guess.

Im very sorry to hear I hope hes alright Very scary assault to say the least . Hope he and his family are ok . Mugging by car just shows who and what are driving around our neighborhoods at night . Its almost like we need a curfew still with all these empty houses .

Cant tell me this guy slipped by all the cameras we have up he had to drive by one if not that means hes in BHW You cant get out there with out driving past a camera .I just shows how much we need check pints going into and out this area ...Or are we just going to still keep a blind eye to all the Scrappers stealing from our residents and our town .

John, What you think are cameras at every intersection are actually traffic lane sensors for the signals..There are 2 cameras on 72 owned and operated by the NJDOT..
