My parents own a home in Brant Beach. The street is full of famalies that have been their for over fifty years. Generations have celebrated the Fourth of July! My uncle employed multitudes of teens (including me in the 70's as he owned Cranes Surf City Hotel). We love LBI and God will help us bring it back. It takes a village.. let's gather together!

Spent the day in Manahawkin yesterday on Muriel Dr. The pics here do no justice to the damage. But ALL the families were out on Muriel Dr cleaning up and helping one another. As im sure was the case on most other streets in the area.. We WILL clean, We WILL rebuild and restore and WE WILL BE BACK..

Some of Bay ave has been restored if you had a seafood resturant you had power the next day if you have a wedding hall Power was on the next day . But if you live here or are just of bay ave like me on railroad ave. No for some reason we have to wait for inspectors to ok Our homes even ths theres no gas here . All Of LBI has power . Mud city has power . Most of beach haven west still has none because of the gas meters Why not take the exaple of LBI let the people clean there homes with out gas main on use electric heat . Why I have to wait for inspector is completly beyound me i has lees water in my house than most 7inches didnt even get near the wall outlets . I have also shut all the mains off on my street . The R in railroad has always meant get in the rear of the line . I do have comment the road deptarment cleared my street The third day a great effort by our town crews. And our police and Fire and rescue . Give the people that need there power to live to clean to sustain so they can make room in the shelters get them back in there houses . Im on genny and its eating into every cent i have to keep gas in it . I still have downed wires here from the houses that were taken away . AtlanticStreet city says its the towns call I say its a cover up of something bigger . I have street lights but no power to my home Come on I have cable but no power come on . Im 1/4 mile from town hall . CNN is sending a reporter here . Perhaps it the only way Begging doesn't seem to work .
