The Ocean County Health Department’s Southern Animal Facility and the Friends
of the Southern Ocean County Animal Facility are inviting residents to the fifth annual Fall Furfest and Halloween Pet Parade at the Southern Ocean Animal Facility on Oct. 27th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to dress up pets and enter the Halloween Costume Parade. There will be prizes for different categories, such as best, funniest, cutest, scariest, and most original pet costumes.

In addition, there will be a bake sale, and for a small fee, a photographer will be taking pictures of pets and their owners.

People will also have the opportunity to visit the assortment of dogs and
cats at the shelter that are looking for a permanent home.

"Adoption fees will be waived on select pets,” said Brian Lippai, Manager of the Ocean County Animal Facilities.

The Southern Ocean County Animal Facility is located at 360 Haywood Road in
