Southern Regional Not Taking Donations; Voting Places Moved
Drop-offs not being accepted, either
The Southern Regional High School Shelter is no longer accepting donations or drop-offs.
This includes supplies, food and clothing.
Please do not come to the shelter to inquire, but instead please visit www.facebook.com/staffordtwp.pba or follow Stafford Police on Twitter @staffordpolice, police say.
"Our neighbors are going to be needing help for a long time.We are humbled and proud of the strength of our communities that has been displayed," the Stafford Township police said in a release. "We ask you to slow down with your eagerness to help right away. We have a long road ahead and many will need your generosity for a long time to come."
Stafford Township officials announced the relocation of the District 3 & 4 voting districts from the flood damaged Mill Creek Road Community Center to St. Mary’s Parish Center located at the corner of McKinley Ave. and Bishop Ln.
Any residents who are unable to vote at their regular polling location may obtain an absentee ballot by visiting the Ocean County Southern Ocean Resource Center, located at 179 South Main Street in Manahawkin.
Residents will complete a request for Absentee Ballot ,which will be immediately processed and they will be able to cast their ballot at that time.
The Ocean County Clerk’s Annex located at the Southern Ocean Center has announced expanded hours to accommodate residents affected by Hurricane Sandy. The expanded hours are as follows:
- 8:30 am to 9:00 pm Friday, November 2, 2012
- 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2012
- 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday, November 4, 2012
- 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday, November 5, 2012

So sad I am at a loss of words. I will be coming down on sunday to start work and clearing and cleaning out my house 4ft water lower about 1ft upper. I know we all can work hard and make BHW even better then it was ! Good Luck to all and stay strong!!!
