Surf City Woman Charged with Assault
Man living at same address was airlifted to local hospital
A 48-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital at around 3 a.m. this morning after he presented to the borough police station with an injury prosecutors say was caused by someone living at his same address.
Jennifer Ennis, 48, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a blunt object, according to William Heisler, assistant Ocean County prosecutor. He said he was unsure of the man's relationship to the woman, but that they live at the same address.
The man was airlifted to a hospital in Atlantic City. His injuries were nonlife-threatening, Heisler said.
Ennis was taken to Ocean County Jail, with bail set at $50,000.

Ummm. He was airlifted to Atlantic City for non-life-threatening injuries? Do we really have an excess of helicopter fuel laying around? Couldn't someone just drive him over to SOCH?

It was reported by our scanner service that no ground advanced life support units were available at the time (only basic life support). So, presumably, there was the chance that without proper treatment the injury could have turned life-threatening.
