The Morning Report: Letter to the Editor, Open Mic Night and a New Restaurant

Good morning, readers! Today is Friday, June 22.

Let's get the day started with a letter this editor received from one of our readers. A resident of Heritage Bay, a senior community in Barnegat, is writing about her right to display Obama campaign signs on her lawn. Whether or not you agree with her politics, what do you think of her situation?

Later on, we'll have a story from our contributor Steve Moran on a recent "open mike" night event at the Lefty's Tavern.

Also, there will be an update on a Barnegat man who was involved in a car accident in Lacey.

Finally, as we try to do each Friday, we aim to share a business profile: this one will feature a new restaurant in town.

Weather

Tired of the heat, or are you the type who enjoys it? In any case, it's going to cool off some today, with temperatures reaching high 80s, and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms which might bring heavy rains and wind gusts.

Enjoy your Friday, everyone!
