Maybe soon they will all foreclose, and the banks will kick them all out, then they can knock'em down, But don't forget we have Whispering Hills, and whatever they name the affordable housing on route 9 coming soon! These are "upscale" Lexington blvd units for people to ruin.

2 month investigation and only a quantity of marijuana was found. They were released without bail . Sounds like a lot of manpower expended with little results. Lexington Ave is a blight on the town and action should be taken to get rid of this eyesore. In the meantime, the BPD will have to continue to focus there.

It used to be a decent place to live. The real estate market ruined it by selling out to slumlords. These people let scum move in because they know the County will pay them their rent.

Lexington was a fine place to live until the slumlords took it over. It is a total disaster. Unsupervised infants running around all hours of the day and night. The township MUST finally do something. No more excuses Barnegat Township. Most of those homes should not even have a Certificate of Occupancy. The units are poorly maintained. As long as the slumlords get the rent every month this will continue to be the eyesore of Barnegat. CODE ENFORCMENT NEEDS TO BE FOLLOWED NOW. FINE THE SLUMLORDS AND THINGS WILL TURN AROUND FAST.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BARNEGAT PD. WE KNOW YOUR HANDS ARE TIED WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE TOWNSHIP.

Messers. Hendrickson and John are correct. It is not the neighborhood, it is the few miscreants that have destroyed it - - to include the slum lords.

Yes, it takes a ton of manpower to police Barnegat. And that is costly in several ways. However, it would be even more costly to scale back and let the scumbags take over. Kudos to Chief Drexler and Barnegat's Finest for protecting us.

And a middle finger to any judge who fails to throw the maximum penalties on convicted criminals. See, the real war is happening on our streets. And we need to fight-to-win!

An arrest for marijuana possession under 50 grams usually calls for a small fine.Meanwhile what did it cost the BPD in overtime and manpower to make that bust. It probably will be decriminalised soon. Alcohol is wores and takes it toll in domestic violence and drunk driving accidents that cause many injuries and loss of life. Yet alcohol is legal. Your not goinng to stop marijuana use, so you should regulate it and stop wasting resources.
