Winning Pick 6 Lotto Ticket Sold in Barnegat
Barnegat Wine & Spirits sold a ticket worth up $12.2 million; winner has yet to claim prize
Somebody who bought a lottery ticket in Barnegat is a millionaire, but they might not know it yet.
A winning Pick 6 ticket with a $12.2 million annuity and $8.6 million cash value was sold at Barnegat Wine and Spirits in the Genuardi's shopping center on West Bay Avenue before Thursday's drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
The ticket matched all six numbers, making the holder the jackpot winner. The winning numbers were 01, 04, 05, 32, 34 and 49.
The ticketholder has not yet come forward to claim the prize, lottery officials said.
But Barnegat Wine and Spirits manager Dave McMahon is having a good day.An official came to give them the good news this morning, he said.
McMahon said the store had seen some winners in the past, "but nothing large like that."
For selling the winning ticket, the store will get a $2,000 check, according to a press release from the state lottery, not to mention an aura of luck.
"We’ve had a few people that I've never seen before come in the store today," McMahon said.
