Winter Storm Watch in Effect for Southern, Eastern New Jersey

The watch is in effect through late Thursday night, and includes a potential for 2-6 inches of snow.

 

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for eastern and southern New Jersey, including portions of Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May and Ocean counties. The watch is in effect from Thursday evening, Jan. 17 through late Thursday night, and includes the potential of 2-6 inches of snow.

The NWS predicts the storm will begin as a mixture of rain and snow Thursday afternoon, before changing over to all snow Thursday night. The NWS predicts hazardous road conditions due to snow, with visibility being reduced to half a mile or less at a time.

No hazardous weather was expected on Wednesday.
