Woman Flown to Atlantic City After Being Struck By Car While Jogging
Barnegat resident sustained "significant leg injuries," police say
A 41-year-old Barnegat woman was flown by medevac to a trauma center in Atlantic City earlier this evening after she was struck by two cars traveling along West Bay Avenue and 8th Street.
Tracey Stewart was alert and stable after the accident, according to Barnegat Police Sergeant Rich Cassidy.
Cassidy said Stewart had been jogging when a car traveling in the eastbound lane struck her in the arm, knocked her to the ground, and she was then struck in the leg by another vehicle.
Cassidy said she had "significant leg injuries," but was alert and conscious.
