I don't see how requiring an ID to confirm one's identity when voting is a violation of anyone'sRead More freedoms......... It absolutely does. As for the above text offered up by Carl Peterson on what it means to be a Patriot--I have to sayRead More its always funny to read calls for being in it 'together' and not being divisive --while the entire text is divisive absurd. He quotes the (implied) irrational rush limbaugh, contrasted by the honorable al gore. the disreputable joe wilson described as little more than a jerry springer heckler ; ted nugent -unpatriotic in his desire for failure--- a jurist -- Carl (and it's unclear if you wrote this) if your intention is to encourage less divisiveness, why are all the bad actors in your play republicans? and all the honorable men, democrats? Its this manipulative nonsense that has me shaking my head. You dont want people to work together, carl. you want the democrat agenda to push forward unopposed. Gore was conciliatory? You mean after 1 month? haha. Good one. yes once the final word was spoken (there is no appeal of a SCOTUS ruling) That awesome guy gore who contested the certified results had no more avenues to pursue and then --(im laughing) graciously conceded. I highly doubt that in the modern world, any concession speech did not include language that reflected support for the new president. As far as rush limbaugh --keith olberman , bill maher etc are not really that supportive of republicans .... maybe they should learn more from mccain who congratulated obama . Come on man.......if youre gonna try to promote a less divided nation--maybe you should demonstrate more balance?

Yes, America is a multicultural melting-pot. Does it make us better or worse? There is nothingRead More that says it does or doesn't. It certainly makes us a bit unique. Nevertheless, here in America, we speak English (American English) and we use Standard Measures rather than metric. If you come to America, you should be prepared to speak English and use our weights and measures system. If you come to America, you must learn our history, you must learn how out system of government works and you are expected to speak English and use our system of weights and measures. How do you know you never come back in another body? How do you know their really isn't God, heaven, and hell? How do you know Your not really from 40 years in the future. By that time, (40 years), quantum computers will actually be able to make homegrown universes in your own home. You, and your buddies decided to play a computer game, and you are here simply in the "game" right now. By the way, think about this. Of all the million years to be alive, isn't it an extreme low probability that you are in the exact time period of the eve of computer abilities to create a universe. Also, when the computer invented ---and released universes start to happen---well, when those evolve, they will do the dame thing as their predecessors did. They will in turn make universes. And so on..and so on. What are the odds that we are the very first in an infinite line of universes. How do you know all the people who legally died for a few minute in the hospital all say they the unexplainable feeling of total love etc. How do you know any of the above is real, or not? And, back to the start. The double slit experiment, proves our conscious affect the universe.....how does in know we are observing it?

The Beast ... do you realize that Obamacare is already a compromise. Obama would have preferred aRead More single payer solution or something akin to that. Instead, he offered Republicans what they wanted all along ... an individual mandate requiring individuals to provide for their own health care insurance. That's just one compromise. Do you want more. How about this, the continuing resolution passed by Dems included a 7% reduction in federal spending. The problem is that the Tea Party believes that compromise means giving them everything they want. There is no compromise that is possible with the Tea Party. When has any President ignored his ideals and those of his party to act purely as a bi-partisan. If the American people did not want Obamacare, they would not have re-elected the man. It's a fundamental concept -- Republicans lost in 2008, the legislation was passed, they lost again in 2012 (including the popular vote for the House). Yet they somehow believe that they have a mandate to make this happen. They don't.
