Great weather coming up for late October. Cool temperatures and sunny skies are expected at least through Monday.

Today - The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high near 55 degrees. Winds will be from 11 to 16 miles per hour.

Tonight - Partly cloudy with a low near 37 degrees. Winds will be from the west at 11 to 13 miles per hour.

Friday - Sunny with a high near 53 degrees. Winds will be from the northwest at 11 to 13 miles per hour.

Things to Do:

Today is the deadline to register for Sunday's Superstorm Sandy - One Year Later, event to be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Ocean County College Theater, 1000 College Drive, Toms River. The commemorative event is hosted by the Ocean County Long-Term Recovery Group. Residents, spiritual and emotional providers, responders and officials on various local, county, state and federal levels will share hope and healing for Sandy survivors. Speakers and musical presentations, and community agencies will be available to provide information for residents. A special program is planned for children. Refreshments will also follow.
