The Morning Call For October 31, 2013

Happy Halloween! Much better than last year, when Superstorm Sandy took the holiday away from us.

Stafford Township police have no set curfew for trick or treaters, ghosts and goblins and anybody walking the streets for no good reason.

"Stafford does not change the day or govern the times. We have had success with allowing the community to use good judgement and hopefully not ring doorbells at 11:00 pm at night!" according to the police department's website.

The National Weather Service is calling for a slightly soggy holiday with mild temperatures and possible rain.

Today - Mostly cloudy with a high near 67 degrees. Winds will be from the south at 7 to 14 miles per hour.

Tonight - Cloudy with a low near 62 degrees. Southerly winds will pick up at a brisk 20 to 23 miles per hour. There's a 40 percent change of rain before 2 a.m.

Friday - Not good. There's a 90 percent chance of rain, mainly before 2 p.m. Expect a high near 71 degree. Winds will be with from the southwest at 22 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts up to 38 miles per hour.

Things to Do: Put your costume on and scare the beejeezus out of people.

What we are working on:

How many homes in Stafford Township are now eligible for federal demolition funds for their homes, now that FEMA has changed the rules?
