It's hard to believe that 12 years have come and gone since that dark day. Barnegat Township schools will be holding lessons in their classrooms today to remember 9-11. Berkeley Township will hold a 9-11 memorial ceremony at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park in Bayville.

O’Casey was a chronicler of the Irish national character during the turbulent years from the Easter Rising in 1916 through the Black and Tan War, culminating in the Irish Civil War, a period known as the “Troubles.” This 3rd annual Irish Heritage lecture, by Professor Ken Konchan, will discuss O’Casey’s role in bringing to Irish consciousness the impact of these revolutionary politics on Dublin’s slums.
