Things to Do:

Discussion of Sean O'Casey, Irish National Playwright, 10 a.m., Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library. O’Casey was a chronicler of the Irish national character during the turbulent years from the Easter Rising in 1916 through the Black and Tan War, culminating in the Irish Civil War, a period known as the “Troubles.” This 3rd annual Irish Heritage lecture, by Professor Ken Konchan, will discuss O’Casey’s role in bringing to Irish consciousness the impact of these revolutionary politics on Dublin’s slums. Presented in partnership with Amergael of LBI. Please register at www.theoceancountylibrary.org    or call 609-494-2480.
