The presentation was made during the State Floor Hockey tournament at Stockton.

Atlantic City Electric made a $44,000 donation to the Special Olympics New Jersey as part of the 2013 State Floor Hockey tournament at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey last weekend, the electric company recently announced.

According to Atlantic City Electric, the donation is part of $132,000 worth of donations it has made to non-profit organizations.

In addition to Special Olympics, these organizations include The Arc of Atlantic County and Gateway Community Action Partnership. Money for donations was raised through its seventh annual Charity Golf Classic, according to the electric company. The classic has raised more than $800,000 since 2006.
