Barnegat Chamber of Commerce Says Thank You Following Sandy

The Chamber of Commerce recognized several organizations, including the Barnegat PBA, Barnegat Fire Compnay, Pinewood Estates Fire Company, Barnegat First Aid and the Barnegat Food Pantry.

The Barnegat Chamber of Commerce last night said thank you to all of the emergency responders and volunteers in the township that helped the town through Sandy, in the form of a donation to each organization.

The Chamber of Commerce recognized several organizations, including the Barnegat PBA, Barnegat Fire Company, Pinewood Estates Fire Company, Barnegat First Aid and the Barnegat Food Pantry (pictured).

During the presentation, Chamber President Ginny Melchiondo said: "this is just a token way of saying that we appreciate what you have done."

Mayor Al Cirulli echoed the sentiment, adding that cleanup operations continue throughout the township. He noted that the committee will recognize all emergency responders and volunteers at the next regular meeting, scheduled for Dec. 17.
