Community Corner

Consumer Expo This Weekend

Hands-on experience for families.

For 99 years, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce has been working to bring visitors, residents and businesses together in positive and creative ways.

Shopping local has never been so important, so the Events Committee chaired by President Chris Schwab of the Anderson Insurance Agency have put together a day full of surprises at the Consumer and Family Expo, to be held Feb. 23.

“This is not your typical Consumer Expo,”  Schwab said in a press release. “This is a very hands-on experience for families and a great way to interact with our members who make our community such a great place to be."

This free expo will feature an aquatic touch tank provided by NJ Academy of Aquatic Science, Child ID Cards, provided by Stafford Township PBA and even a kids workshop presented by Home Depot to build a birdhouse for the spring.

In addition, cash and carry items and new product lines will be on display from Costco, Fulton Bank, Group Insurance Solutions, Healing Hands, Health Village Imaging, Kline Brothers Landscaping and Floral Center, Mark 1, New York Life, ReMax, Sara Robertson Design, The Learning Experience, Tuckerton Seaport, Our Gang Players, TGI Friday’s, St Francis Community Center, Magic 100.1FM, Ocean Professional Theater Co, and many more.
