Although not of the scope and magnitude of the upcoming $1 billion, two-year-long repair job to the Manhattan-bound Pulaski Skyway, last week the N.J. Department of Transportation found time to make repairs to a bridge area a little closer to home: the Causeway portion of Route 72 that links LBI to the rest of the world, according to a report in The Sandpaper.
Entire sections of roadways betwixt the main Causeway bridge expanse and its smaller trestle bridges received repaving during the first week of April as part of the DOT’'s pothole repair campaign, explained DOT spokesman Stephen Schapiro.
