The Tuckerton Seaport has had such great success with its Lunch ’n Learn programs dealing with science themes that it seemed a natural to begin a series called Literary Lunches, according to a report in The Sandpaper.

The new series will be held on the third Wednesday of every month from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Hunting Shanty on the Seaport property, 120 West Main Street, Tuckerton.

On Wednesday, May 21, join author Margaret Thomas Buchholz to celebrate New Jersey’s 350th with a slide show and readings from her books. Buchholz owned the Beachcomber, a weekly newspaper on LBI for 60 years. She co-wrote Great Storms of the Jersey Shore, with Larry Savadove; wrote New Jersey Shipwrecks: 350 Years in the Graveyard of the Atlantic; and compiled and edited Shore Chronicles: Diaries and Travelers’ Tales from the Jersey Shore 1764-1955, and Josephine: From Washington Working Girl to Fisherman’s Wife.
