Labor Day Weekend Nightlife Round Up

The weekend that marks the near end of summer's heat is here, but we've still got some time to soak up that warm air and enjoy the local treatment on our shores. Below, check out some of these sought-out destinations for the long Labor Day weekend.

Shark Fin Inn, 701 South Main Street, Forked River: Shark Fin is a casual shore-themed restaurant and bar with moderate prices and a friendly clientele.

• Thursday: (All day) Thirsty Thursday with $2.00 Miller Lite pints and MGD 64 bottles.

• Friday:  Happy hour from 11am to 7pm with $1.50 domestic draft beers. Live music with Trax at 9:30 p.m. with an iPad giveaway contest. $1.50 Miller Lite pints all night.

• Saturday: Happy hour on Saturday? Only at Shark Fin Inn. 11-7p.m. you receive reduced priced drinks and food specials. Music with Silk and Steel late night. $1.50 Miller Lite pints and $2.50 bottles all day.

• Sunday: Brunch specials from 11-2p.m. with $3.00 Mimosas and Bloody Marys. $1.50 Miller Lite pints and $2.50 Miller Lite bottles all day. Live music with Yellow #5 at 9 p.m.

Nardi’s, Tavern, 118 Street & the Blvd, LBI: Nardi’s is a popular spot among beach-goers with their laid back atmoshphere and great location.

• Friday: Happy hour kicks off at 3p.m. with half priced drink specials and special happy hour appetizer menu.The Elvis Show at 5p.m. Steamroller Picnic at 9p.m.

• Saturday: Mike Byrne at 5:00p.m.; Dead Poets at 10p.m. Happy hour from 3-5p.m. with half priced drinks and appetizer menu.

• Sunday: Dave Christopher at 5p.m. Richie’s All-Stars at 9p.m.

• Labor Day: Weird Owl Karaoke at 5p.m. 70’s and 80’s night with Richie’s All-Stars starting at 9pm.

Joe Pop’s, 2002 Long Beach Blvd, Ship Bottom: Joe Pop’s is one of the most popular shore bars and restaurants, and throws some of the biggest parties in at the shore.

• Friday: $5.00 Fridays with drink wheel $5.00 drink specials every hour starting at 9p.m. Screaming Broccolli will be performing live.

• Saturday: The party continues with one of the premiere cover bands at the shore, The Benjamins. $3.00 Coors Lights until midnight $4.00 well drinks and $2.00 shot specials all night.

• Sunday: Live and Locals every Sunday featuring The Nerds. Half priced drinks and drafts all night, no cover.

• Everyday: Happy Hour from 3 to 7p.m. $3.00 all drafts, $1.00 off all drinks, and a $5.00 food menu inside at the bar. $4.00 frozen drink special and $20.00 Corona/Corona Light or Twisted Tea buckets outside at Tiki Joe's!

Surf City Hotel, 800 N. Long Beach Island Blvd, Surf City: A favorite with lifeguards and locals, restaurant, bar and lounge  offers nightly entertainment.

• Friday: Happy hour from 3 to 5p.m. Live music with The Pickles at 9p.m.

• Saturday: Drop Dead Sexy performs live at 10p.m.

• Sunday: Bill & Andy Show at 5p.m. Shorty Long at 10p.m.

Terrace Tavern, 132 & LB Blvd, Beach Haven: Terrace Tavern and Crab Shack gives you a bib and an entire roll of paper towels with their steam pots. You can find weekend entertainment here, along with all the big games on their 10 big screen TVs.

• Happy hour everyday which includes half priced well drinks, all beers, and house wine, $5.00 frozen drinks and Cuervo margaritas on tap.

• Friday: $3.00 Flying Fish and Longtrail Pale Ale drafts, $3.00 shot specials. Live entertainment with Mike Mallett.

• Saturday: Music by Ted Hammock and Matt Fisher. $4.00 for all Mexican beer, $5.00 Cuervo margaritas on tap. No cover.

• Sunday: Guinness and Smithwick drafts $3.00.
