Latest Driving Jersey Episode Focuses on LBI Area After Sandy
It is the first part of a two-part series, with the second, focusing on Monmouth County, to air in February.
On Jan. 29th at 10:30 p.m. on NJTV, Driving Jersey premieres an episode all about post-Sandy in Beach Haven West, Long Beach Island and at the Stafford Relief Center.
It is the first part of a two-part series, with the second - focusing on Monmouth County - to air in February.
"In the days after Sandy, we were in Beach Haven West talking to folks who looked like returning refugees after a war with Mother Nature," said Driving Jersey creator Steve Rogers. "They looked and appear on video to be shell-shocked, but they were all good enough to speak with us on camera. Days later, we returned and spoke to people on LBI, including residents and first aid workers and finally we spent a day at the Relief Center and interviewed folks there."

Driving Jersey is a web video series that is a reflection, Rogers says, of the most misunderstood and misrepresented place and people in the entire country.
Together with Co-Creator Ryan Bott – the two men comprise the entirety of the Driving Jersey crew – the honest exploration has taken the duo from the top of the state to the bottom, and to Los Angeles. Driving Jersey has been nominated for an Emmy in the New Approaches category of the Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
