Local Businesses Helping Sandy Victims

Many businesses are offering free services for victims, and asking for goods to donate to local centers.

From free haircuts to dog grooming, local businesses across Southern Ocean are working to help those in need get back on their feet.

Last week, Bella Donna Salon went to Pinelands Regional High School and gave out hair cuts to evacuees. This week, they along with Wicked Rides car club, are now going to serve as a donation dropoff point for centers that provide Sandy relief. Bella Donna Salon is located at 31 N. Main Street, Manahawkin. People with questions can contact 609-978-1414.

Also the Barnegat Animal Clinic hosted a "groom-a-thon" for survivors of Sandy. This event, held November 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., featured shavedowns, baths and nail clippings, and was a free event for anyone effected by Hurricane Sandy. Donations continue to be ccepted and offered to those working the front lines to ensure the safety and happy reunion of lost pets.
