Manahawkin Flea Market Donates to Charity

Clothe A Child receives $780 from flea market store owners.

The owner of the Manahawkin Flea Market donated $780 to a local charity at the regular Township Council meeting held last night.

At a presentation held during the meeting, Warren Petrucci handed Elizabeth Strattman, a Southern Regional teacher, a check for $780 for her charity Clothe A Child. Petrucci asks that those who vend at the Friday Farmer's Market at the flea market donate to the charity instead of paying for table space, and the check was the total of this year's donations.

Strattman, pictured above with Petrucci, thanked Stafford Council members for their support with the charity, and "introducing me to Warren." She noted that the charity has contributed clothes to about 30-40 Stafford children per year, who all recieve $100 to purchase clothes for the school year.

Council members acknowledged both Strattman and Petrucci, noting that they are part of an entire community of people within the township who provide outreach to those in need.  Clothe A Child is funded by donations from local churches, businesses, and civic organizations.
