On Surf City's 5th Street, Annual Parade Shows Island's Resilience
Hundreds of people marched from Barnegat Bay to the ocean
Residents of North 5th Street in Surf City showed their American spirit in a big way Thursday, with a bigger-than-ever parade from Barnegat Bay to the Atlantic Ocean.
The parade culminates in a block party that benefits the borough's fire department, which remained operational throughout Superstorm Sandy's wrath in Oct. 2012.
