Post-Sandy 'Needs Assessment' Meetings Planned in Ocean County

Residents can sit down with a World Renew representative to discuss their unmet needs following the storm.

Ocean County residents who have unmet needs following Superstorm Sandy will have an opportunity to sit down with a representative from a nonprofit organization to discuss their concerns.

The Long Term Recovery Group of Ocean County announced that the national non profit organization, World Renew Disaster Response Services, will be conducting community assessments for families that have registered with FEMA for assistance.

Through the World Renew teams, Ocean County residents will have the opportunity to sit down with a representative and have an in-depth conversation about what their unmet needs are. These needs will be documented and compiled in an effort to assess the current unmet needs for Ocean County residents, according to a statement issued Monday by the 10th district legislative team, which serves much of Ocean County.

"This compiled data will be crucial in moving forward to gain resources to meet these unmet needs," the statement said.

Residents who have a FEMA ID number are being asked to bring it with them.
