Pig Skin Pig Roast Charity Fundraiser

Get ready for the NFL Season Opener while benefiting seven local food pantries as the Southern Ocean Community Foundation along with the Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce partners for some great BBQ, fixings, prizes and team spirit on Sunday Sept 2 at the Doc Cramer Field in Manahawkin. Tickets are just $25 per adult and $10 children 12 and under. Serving up this fabulous feast is the Shore Fire Grille in Barnegat. Menu will feature pig, corn on the cob, rosemary roasted new potatoes, baked beans and fruit salad. Contests for best outfitted tailgater and best tail gate dessert contest plus plenty of chances to make your predictions on who will come out on top this season. Enjoy the flavor of classic rock performed by the infamous Scull & Bonez Band featuring local musicians Terry Ahern, Beth Mann, Kevin Scull, Andy Magerowski, Jon Slackman, Keith Arc and John Richie, plus favorite party music provided by MK Productions. All proceeds will help seven local food pantries which include Barnegat Food Pantry, St Francis Center, The Lacey Food Bank, Tuckerton Area Inter Church Food Pantry, Ocean Community Church Food Pantry, St Stephens Food Pantry and St Mary's Ken's Kitchen prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

Sport your favorite team jersey, and show off your latest, greatest and most comfortable tail gate tables, chairs and equipment as we settle in for another exciting football season and begin the countdown for when NJ hosts the Super Bowl in 2014.  The event will run Sunday September 2 from 1 to 5pm at Doc Cramer Field off of McKinley Avenue in Manahawkin.
