Rock For Sandy This Weekend

Event will be held at LBIF.

Jetty and Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences have announced their second Sandy Relief fundraiser, Rock for Sandy,  to be held at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences on April 13, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The concert event will feature two, Jetty-supported bands, Almost There & Theodore Lovely, according to a press release. 

There are a limited amount of tickets  available, which can only be purchased on the LBI Foundation website . The night will also feature catering by Mud
City Crab House (included in ticket price), beer & wine open bar (available for 21+ @ $15/person) and a silent auction.

The surf and music industries have stepped up big in support of the event with donations from Vans Warped Tour, O’Neill, Sun Bum, Nike, Volcom, Lost, Reflekt and Dark Horse Percussion.

A few of the highly coveted items are sure  to be a custom snare drum (Dark Horse), and two VIP tickets to the Vans Warped Tour.

Theodore Lovely, a California-based band, will be completing their cross-country The Heart Leads the Way tour at the Rock  for Sandy Event. Their experience and happenings are detailed on their blog at TheodoreLovely.com.

Almost There, a NJ-based band, will be traveling south from Ocean Twp., NJ to represent as well. Their most recent album, Abandon  the Sinking Ship, can be previewed at AlmostThereRock.com.


All proceeds from the event will benefit the newly formed Jetty Rock Foundation, a 501(C)3 charitable organization and new non-profit arm of the Jetty brand.

The Jetty Rock Foundation aims to help individuals, families, businesses and
other non-profits with long-term effects from Hurricane Sandy. The Foundation will also be a conduit for other Jetty  charitable projects such as their Coquina Jam & Get Rad! Scholarship. Jetty has donated over $230,000 from their
Sandy Relief effort, all of which is detailed under the Causes / Sandy Relief Project section of Jettylife.com.
