Taste of Southern Ocean County Hunger Relief Dinner On Tap For April 9

The Southern Ocean County Community Foundation is prepping for its 19th annual Hunger Relief Dinner coming up on April 9.

The Foundation - a 501c3 organized by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce - was created for the benefit of local food pantries, according to the Chamber's website at http://www.visitlbiregion.com/chamber/calendar/

Proceeds from the Taste Dinner distributed to food pantries have totaled more than $550,000 since its inception in 1995.

The 2014 dinner will feature dishes that showcase the talents of area chefs who donate their time and talent to support this cause. The theme this year is Evening In Venice.

Hor d'oeuvres will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person.
