A Lovely Saturday, But A Damp Week Ahead

National Weather Service promises high temperatures, but some clouds and showers late on Sunday and during most of the week to come.

If you think yesterday was nice, prepare for an even nicer Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. The weather today is expected to reach the upper 70s.

By the end of Sunday, however, while the temperatures will remain warm, rain clouds will start to move in, said Greg Heavener, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Mount Holly Station.

"So the first half of the weekend is looking good, but as we move toward the end of Sunday, [the weather] becomes more iffy," Heavener said.

As far as the week ahead, we will have highs in the low 70s, but with rain and clouds.

"Looks like we're going to have pretty damp Monday through at least Thursday, with showers and thunderstorms during the day and lots of clouds around," Heavener said.
