Besides the beaches from Barnegat Light all the down to Holgate being open, the landmark restaurant has declared on its Facebook page that the restaurant is open, and business has been overflowing.

"Just want to thank everyone who made out opening day so special. We are really sorry it was so crazy busy, and we really got backed up," the owners said on their Facebook page. "But it just goes to show what incredible friends and customers we have."

In Surf City, the Army Corps of Engineers is pouring sand. In Beach Haven, the Borough Hall has been moved to Pelham Avenue and the municipal court has been moved to Harvey Cedars. But both want people to know that the beaches are open.

"After such a trying winter, it was so nice to able to get back to doing what we love...serving up chicken and eggs!" the "Chegg" said. "Again, sorry to all of you had to wait forever tonight.. We have a very limited staff right now, but we'll keep doing our best to serve you, our friends, neighbors, customers, fans."
