Good morning, everybody. Today is Wednesday, Feb. 8.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON:

The Barnegat Township School District is holding an information session this evening at the Collins School for parents and members of the community, and will share details on the upgrades to the recently reopened elementary school. We'll have the details on the event shortly.

EVENTS:

  • The district's information session at the starts at 6:30 p.m. today.
  • A four-week pre-K story time series kicks off today at the . Bring your 3- to 5-year-old to the library at 10:30 a.m. today and the following three Wednesdays for stories, songs and fun. Register for all four session at once online or by calling the library at 609-698-3331.

WEATHER:

We'll likely see some snow mixed in with rain today. Temperatures during the day will stay high enough that we won't see much accumulation, if any, but we may see some snow start sticking overnight. 

  • Today: A chance of rain between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then rain and snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Northeast wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected. 
  • Tonight: Rain and snow before 11 p.m, then a slight chance of snow between 11 p.m. and 1am. Low around 29. North wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

  • 2:23 p.m.: Low
  • 8:02 p.m.: High
