Last night, the Barnegat Board of Education heard from a representative from the auditing firm that combed through eight years' worth of files looking for links to Federal Hill Risk Management, the brokerage firm run by alleged Ritacco co-conspirator Francis X. Gartland. The findings? The district never made any payments to Federal Hill, though it did hire the company as its broker of record – for about a month. We'll bring you more details this morning.
Also coming up today is a story about a Barnegat resident's new venture in Lacey, a reminder of a new recycling drop-off service here in town and a moving piece on thankfulness in the face of sadness from columnist Christine Scheller, whose Faith and Family column appears here from time to time.
