Good morning, everybody. Today is Wednesday, Sept. 7.

 

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON:

On the way this morning is news of the DEP's reopening of much of the state's shellfish grounds after nearly two weeks of closure following Hurricane Irene's unwelcome visit to the Shore.

The Recreation Disability Advisory Board meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Barnegat Township Community Center.

  • The library's for teens meets tonight at 7 p.m.

 

WEATHER: 

 

  • Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
  • Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 71. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
