Take note! Here's what's coming up in Barnegat in the days ahead.

 

  • The joins four other Ocean County Library branches in offering free memory screenings Tuesday. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., participants can take a five-minute memory test administered by Meridian staff. Sign up by calling Meridian Health Care at 1-800-DOCTORS.

  • The Barnegat Board of Education holds a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barnegat High School. The board has announced it will present the results of an , the disgraced firm at the center of the Ritacco scandal.

 

  • holds a New Jersey College Night at 7 p.m. Wednesday, giving students and parents the opportunity to learn about more than 20 in-state public and private colleges. The event will be preceeded by a 6 p.m. seminar on financial aid in the school auditorium.

  • The will host a family buffet breakfast organized by the American Legion Riders at 8 a.m. Wednesday. The Legion Riders ride in support of the troops in parades and other functions, and often act as bike escorts for returning soldiers and on other occasions.

 

  • Bring the kids to the Barnegat Library at 1 p.m. Saturday for a robot workshop. "Robodyssey" will teach kids ages 10 and up some basic programming language, allowing them to build a small, working robot and guide it through a minefield. Bring a camera, because the robots can't come home with you.
