Meetings and events for the week of Nov. 21

On the way this week are meetings, a Thanksgiving home game and some early holiday cheer. 

 

  • The Barnegat Township Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. in the courtroom today. There will be no workshop meeting beforehand.

  • The Barnegat Board of Education meets at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Barnegat High School. The first two hours of the meeting will be a closed session, said Board Administrator Dean Allison, with the regular meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.

 

  • St. Mary's Catholic Church hosts a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23. Call the American Red Cross Penn Jersey Region at 1-800-448-3543 to make an appointment to give.

  • The Barnegat boys' varsity football team hits the field again in a Thanksgiving game at home against Pinelands on Thursday, Nov. 24. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. at Barnegat High School.

 

  • Kick off the holiday season at Surflight Theatre on LBI, where the holiday musical review Plaid Tidings hits the stage for the first time Friday, Nov. 25. The show features a '50s-style close-harmony "guy group" taking on holiday favorites. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. the first night, and tickets are $36. Visit the event page for more showtimes.
