Readers' Choice: Fuji Steakhouse Favorite Ethnic Restaurant

Forked River eatery tops readers' poll

From among four choices we presented, the majority of Barnegat readers picked Fuji Steakhouse, a Japanese sushi and hibachi establishment on Route 9 in Forked River, with Polish-American Restaurant also on Route 9 in Waretown trailing close behind.

A few other names thrown into the mix of good ethnic places to go included Pan Asia restaurant in Forked River, Foo Hoo Kitchen in Barnegat, El Tenampa, a Mexican restaurant in Manahawkin and the Forked River German Butcher Shop.

Thank you for voting!

Editor's Note: Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. Official rules for the Readers' Choice Poll are attached to this story.

Dave: there was a really good place called brick pit in manahawkin but sadly it didn't last. Hopefully, someone else will open up another place I wish there were some Indian and Thai places in the area.

Siam Spice Thai Cuisine, on Fischer Blvd, Toms River is great, Xinas on 37 is awesome.. As far as the "planning board" they make it alot more difficult and are not business freindly, that's why people get discouraged and go to Manahawkin or Forked River.. Look at the old Sweet Jenny's site, people get fed up and walk away from all of the B/S and red tape (or sell the business to the manager then walk and put the property up for sale), time is money in the real world!
