A Toms River developer came before the Planning Board last night to request permission for extending Cherry Street to bring 19 to 22 new homes into the area. The variance application, which the board approved by a narrow vote, caused a lot of contention among residents of the nearby Hannah Lee Road and Aphrodite Drive neighborhood.
