Three Locals Arrested For Theft and Forgery
Police say two area adults and a Barnegat teen withdrew money from Waretown victim's account.
A Manahawkin woman, a Barnegat man and a juvenile forged a withdrawal slip and stole money from a Waretown woman, who formerly dated one of the offenders, Barnegat Police said.
Detective William Hetrick arrested Danielle Johnson, 23, of Manahawkin, Robert Shayne, 21, of Barnegat and a 16-year-old Barnegat juvenile last Thursday, April 19, for forgery and theft by deception.
Police said the offense was committed a few days ago, on April 14, when Johnson, who was a former girlfriend of the 25-year-old Waretown victim and knew his account number forged a withdrawal slip together with Shayne and the Barnegat juvenile.
